You know, I for one am glad that this kind of case is, for once, actually to be tried in front of a jury (appropriately, called the "fact finder" in legalese). The grand jury process is so grossly one sided, whether the prosecutor wants an indictment or not. So what there are disagreements on the charges and facts of the case. What do you expect? That's always the case. If everybody agreed, there won't be a need for a trial. You hold a trial to find out what happened (more like, what the jury believes happened).
Don't judge. The actions of a few do not necessarily mean ALL. There are many who are hostages to the thuggery. They are helpless, defenseless and preyed upon. Do not be so heartless as to disregard their safety. ,,
What about the reports of the practice of cops loading their van with handcuffed suspects, NOT seatbelted in and taking them for a wild ride, throwing them all over the back of the van. What kind of meathead cops do that crap?
We have children who are cops. We love cops. But renegade cops are bad news.
I do care about the good, decent people that are stuck in the hood. My heart goes out to them. However I also care about the people that serve and protect me. The majority of them go out every day and do a God awful job. Police officers who work in the ghetto, in addition to the usual dangers, now have to worry that the politicians will throw them under the bus for doing their job. They didn't sign up to do that last part. I hope that members of all police services take note of this and see that it could by no fault of their own, happen to them and act appropriately.

So do I. I care about the good ones. That being said it's not a god awful job. The majority of cops LOVE the job. They wouldn't know what do do with themselves without that badge/gun and cruiser! It's their life. They LOVE going to work, unlike most people who don't like their jobs. It's an adrenaline rush for them. It's really hard to get a job as a police officer. There's a ton of applicants for every position. It's a solid career.
