I guess that's up to the good people of Texas to decide, but I fail to see the harm in providing the knowledge.

Whatever. ( shrugs )

Why wouldn't you teach sex ed? Or health? Teach kids how and why their body works how it does, and how they can deal with it (especially nice for girls who menstruate)?

I can't imagine a district without sex ed. Pretty sure that's unheard of around here in NJ. I started "health" class, learning about our own anatomy and body changes at puberty, in 6th grade. The boys and girls were separated that first year because at that age we still giggled at the words "penis" and "vagina" but by high school we had full fledged health classes, co-ed, at least one marking period per year (out of four), where we learned about sex, birth control, our bodies, and more, and even learned how to perform CPR and basic first aid in some. It's like a personal biology class. I feel it is necessary for students, at least in high school, to learn this stuff. It boggles my mind that in some areas of the country people don't agree.

This might go against what is taught in schools and what conservative medical community and religious groups say but it is true.
Wrong.

Detailed STD Facts - Chlamydia

"Chlamydia is transmitted through sexual contact with the penis, vagina, mouth, or anus of an infected partner. Ejaculation does not have to occur for chlamydia to be transmitted or acquired."

You can get Herpes type 2 from oral sex, too.

Although I agree with you, at least they don't have to worry about an unwanted pregnancy if there's no intercourse.

like I wrote prior the medical community is very conservative and will err on the side of caution. But in real world practices oral sex is safe sex zero risk for some STDs and low risk only the 3 o mentioned. Gonorrhea, herpes simplex 1 and ngu not from Chlamydia.

Wish that were true.
It is how some people have Oral Sex. Meaning lips, tongue mouth... but once ones willy pushes into the throat, it opens up a whole lot of other possibilities including Chlamydia.

Hardcore deepthroating is standard in a lot of people's practice.

Um, no. Your understanding of STIs is seriously flawed. If you are basing your own behavior on what you are saying here you may be putting yourself at serious risk, and no one reading what you write should base his behavior on it.

It is possible to have type 2 herpes in the mouth and transmit it to a partner during oral sex.

If that's the logic used it's pretty terrible. Sex is natural, people know how to do it. Kids start recognizing their own sexuality at a rather young age and even can experiment with themselves.
