Of course the ten above are not being subjected to shooting,stabbing and have to brawl to arrest unruly suspects. The above are dangerous due to workplace accidents not actual intention on someone's part to commit bodily harm to them.

This only proves that police procedure is keeping cops alive. It's what is supposed to happen. It does not mean that being a policeman is less dangerous.

Logic says if the procedures keep the policemen alive, then their job is indeed less deadly than those in Top 10. Think about it.

You still draw incorrect conclusion. You don't know if fisherman, for example have similar safety procedures and the real issue is they are not following them. i.e. Danger depends upon the individual's actions, not the job.

Think about it.

The police shoot first ask questions later policy, does make law enforcement the one of the safest occupations in America.

Yes, the police do a great job of keeping themselves alive. They kill a thousand people a year doing it, many of them 100% innocent. But they do a great job of protecting themselves.
