Uh oh -- a feel-good thread about a black man defending himself (for a change) is turning into another acrimonious gun debate.
Ok -- I'll bite. You can show me a thousand such stories. None will convince me that I need to give up my right to self defense because the world is full of psychos or incompetent morons.
Sorry, but the anti-gun folks will win this sort of argument. They have the data.
The bottom line for me is, its a constitutional right, and its there for a reason. Our culture believes that in the end a armed populace keeps our government from getting too bad, and keeps our politicians a little worried. You could triple our gun death rate, and I wouldn't even blink.

I wonder if the family of the deceased will sue Waffle House. Because you know, somebody's got to pay...
Lawyers will sue everybody. I suspect the Waffle House, the shooter, the gun manufacturer, the bullet manufacturer, the store where he bought the gun, the company that made the paper on which the permit was printed, the security camera manufacturer, the manufacturer of the soap used to wash the dishes, and whoever makes the napkin dispensers will all be in court by the end of the year. Because that's what lawyers do.

That is indeed the original, and most important reason for supporting the 2d Amendment.
I don't think the Founding Fathers envisioned the state of our society in the 21st century. But if they had, I believe they would have supported the idea that a free people also have a right to bear arms for defense from criminal elements.
There will be a lot of conflicted C-D posters once they watch the video. Fun. Dumb thugs.

What is the conflict? Unless you are trying to stir up something racial? Go ahead and share your intent.
