BOSTON (AP) — An incoming Boston University professor who called "white college males" a "problem population" and was publicly criticized by the university's president said on Tuesday she regrets making the remarks.

Black sociology professor Saida Grundy, who completed her doctorate at the University of Michigan last year, had declared on her now-private Twitter account that "white masculinity is THE problem for America's colleges."

"I regret that my personal passion about issues surrounding these events led me
to speak about them indelicately," she said in a statement. "I deprived them of
the nuance and complexity that such subjects always deserve."
Somehow I doubt that hearing all the delicate nuance and complexity of her views on the subject of evil white men would help much.

I'm sure she does regret that it's causing her some grief now. But she didn't apologize, say it was wrong, etc etc. And now it's supposed to be OK.

It's a double standard. If a White person had said this about Blacks, Boston University would have fired them by now.

you are so right. If this was a white professor he would have been axed.

It is sad that these Boston universities used to be bastions of higher learning have become indoctrine sites for tomorrows over the top liberal whackos.

College should be about broadening ones thinking but so many of the professors lean to the left there is not much diversity at the university.

I think this woman stands behind what she said and only regrets being called on it.

Just another liberal racist wacko......

She should be more concerned about hispanics. By 2030 they will be the majority population and are not so sensitive to being called racisssst

This will be a good thing in my opinion. No white guilt with non-black Hispanics and even black Hispanics don't care about the constant whining of African-Americans.

Whites owe no one a sense of guilt. White people have fed, clothed, sheltered, educated and healed more members of other races than any other race.

Whites have also disproportionately harmed other races so I say it's an even break.
