A 70 year old woman, Verda Byrd, who had been adopted by black parents discovered that she's actually white. Hey, she didn't know. She's speaking out because of the Dolezal case.
"The Jerk" was such a funny movie. Who knew it would be so relevent so many years later?
I have a question:
I understand how a white kid raised by black parents could feel like she is black and vice versa. The kid will take on characteristics of their adoptive parents. In a loving family who cares about skin colour right?
I can also understand that a child lost in the woods and raised by wolves might grow to think he is a wolf.
Soooo. my question and it might start a fire here... what is going to happen to kids who are raised by gay parents??

I saw the quick video of this story a couple of days ago and forgot about it. As I was watching, they mentioned both her parents were Caucasian and I thought, no way. That woman doesn't even look bi-racial. Weird story.
The same thing that happens to kids raised by straight parents? You are confusing two completely different issues here.
Is it really 2 different issues?
A black kid raised by white parents will probably turn out with white character traits.
The same goes for a kid raised by wolves. The kid wouldn't look like a wolf but he would certainly act like one.
SO if a child is raised by gay parents there will be traits handed down to that kid up to preferring the same sex partner.
It might be a stretch to link these 3 scenarios together but it is a crazy world we live in. Who would have thought that a racist killer waving a confederate flag in a video would lead to a toy company removing the iconic rebel flag from the General Lee toy car?? In another stretch they should probably stop calling it the "General Lee" since Lee was a civil war general that led his troops against the North to try and preserve his traditions which included slavery.
The thing is we are all influenced by our surroundings for better or worse.
I'm not sure the lady is white. I believe she is probably biracial with some white and some black ancestry. The story doesn't make sense and it doesn't appear she has any proof. I believe she needs some genetic testing.
