You have to be crazy to pull over a cop these days with all police shootings.

Nobody exactly loves the police (don’t tell my best friend who is one). Obviously, everybody needs them and the services they provide, but more often than not, the thought of a police officer is associated with anger or unhappiness because of certain citations. That’s what makes this video, dug up by CarScoops so satisfying.

Hi john...
Do you feel somehow better posting this video of this asshat civilian ?...
The civilian has no idea what the officer is doing or where he is going. The officer showed great restraint and I thought his explanation was more than sufficient. I.e. of the 5-50000 cars I see in a day only a small fraction that get pulled over.. most because of the totality of their driving
Police cars have exempt plates.. trained operators.. well insured municipalities

Can an officer speed off duty... technically no... but as he stated traffic was passing him.. I know when I'm in civilian clothes and in a radio car if I do not drive faster than the flow of traffic I can create gridlock... so I generally drive about five miles above the speed limit on the freeway.

I have felt genuine support from the communities I served.. and didn't experience any of the feelings you stated are commonplace.

Humorous..not really.. stupid.. absolutely

Why do we love our troops, but hate our police? Who serve and fight for us domestically. I suppose, if our police were over seas doing their exact same jobs, we as a nation would then love them.

IMO, police do not always need to obey basic traffic laws. (On duty police; and this does not make them above the law.) They are trained experienced drivers; high speed chases and all. And just because their sirens aren't always blaring doesn't mean that they are not in a hurry to respond to a call, or a situation, or possible crime in progress. (Sirens upon approach are sometimes turned off.) They of all drivers need special exempt for reasons of promptly getting to their destinations. -- The faster they get to their destination, the faster they resolve that destination, the faster they are ready for their next call.

I would never pull a cop over for anything. Police can make U-turns in middle of road or do about anything they want. This guy is just crazy or lives out of state.

Reminds me of this story about the trooper who was harassed after arresting a cop.

Florida trooper arrested a cop, then was stalked & harassed by the Thin Blue Line - Police State USA

Why do you assume "we" all love our troops? I sure don't. They're just people doing a job, same as cops. I neither love them or hate them, and I imagine quite a lot of other people feel exactly the same way.

In the minds of people who worship authority, if you don't love the troops or the cops you automatically hate them. If you question authority you deserve to die.
