The worst part is that his older (apparently not wiser) brother stood five feet away and watched him do this. Sad. One dead, the other probably disowned.

In looking at these photos of that guy, he doesn't seem like a bad person or even stupid. He was an actor at Disney World. It looks as if he had too much to drink, and then did something that went horribly wrong and got him killed. Tragic for everyone involved.

I mean, he was a nice looking young man. I can't help but think of his poor mother.

BUT . . what an incredible act of stupidity. Young people really do think they are invincible.

If this involved pot, everyone would be saying, see, this is why we shouldn't legalize pot.

Alcohol causes more death, auto accident, rapes, and violence, yet pot is illegal.

If pot wasn't illegal, there would be less people in jail, less gang turf wars over drugs and territory, and more tax revenue. Plus trees would be saved since hemp makes great paper product. Hemp is one of the fastest growing plants. Not sure why our govt banned hemp products. Hemp doesn't contain thc.....

I love how some people are equating his 'good looks' with his intellect and morality. You people do realize one has nothing to do with the others, right?

The guy could've been the nicest guy in the world and he was still a blooming idiot to get drunk enough around fireworks that he would do something like this.

According to the article he was a disney actor and dog walker, in my book he'd be called "not so bright".

Because they were likely as likkered up as he was; unfortunately, irrationality is communicable, and there are people who like to pass it around.

Sad. Horrible for family and friends.

But stupidity like this is what makes things difficult for others. I can see an outcry of making fireworks illegal across the board in ME.
