There was an official disaster declared and an application for aid made to FEMA. The application was rejected, though, in late June.

I am all for helping other cities/states if they have some calamity like tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.
However I never want the nations taxpayers to pay for incompetence or wacko liberal policies that bankrupt cities or even some day an entire state like CA. They make their own bed, and must sleep in it. The same is true of Baltimore.
Now if the DNC wants to pay for it, that would be a logical place to send the bill.
"It's just hard to live in the city and pay taxes and buy a house next to the police station because you want that security, and then this is how they treat you," Meek said in an interview Tuesday. "It's just an us-versus-them mentality, police versus the citizens."
His story struck a chord among officials. City Councilman Ed Reisinger — who represents parts of Southwest and South Baltimore — said stations are a "sanctuary" for people in trouble, and shouldn't close overnight like a business.
"This ain't no damn restaurant," he said. "That is stupid with a capital 'S.' That jeopardizes public safety when you do that. What's next, the hospitals? The ambulances?"
Councilman Brandon M. Scott, vice chairman of the council's public safety committee, said police stations "should have always been 24/7," and Meek's efforts to get help should have been handled differently.
"Telling him to go away is unacceptable," Scott said.
Police officials said they agreed. Detective Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, called the incident "alarming and disappointing," and said the department is investigating.
The people wanted less police presence. Looks like they win!

Can't. Maryland has decided that only the rich and politically-connected qualify to receive a carry permit. This has been challenged in court, and the ******* judges say that the second amendment's "right of the people to keep and bear arms" means that you only have a right to carry them inside your house.

Time to start firing those police officers who don't do their job.
Time to start firing those police officers who recklessly shoot suspects, thus acting as judge and jury.
And that will leave behind the honorable police officers who do their job legally and proudly.
Who will be next on the list to be demonized, their lives and livelihoods ruined when doing those jobs, by beneficiaries of the commercial racial-discord industry who declare their actions as "brutal" and "racist".
