I'm in the "I HATE reality TV" group. I don't care about watching shows about little people, people with multiples/huge families, red necks, LGBT folks, celebrities or anyone that has a reality TV program. I guess I'm more interested in REAL life than what sells as "reality". If the person in this new show is happy with herself and has a family that loves her, she's lucky and doesn't need to publicize her life on TV.

That is the biggest problem right there.
Even the liberal progressives who wish to promote an agenda, also know it must have the potential to be profitable, to even have a chance to get it produced.
So if for no other reason, if these roadside accidents has enough carnage, people will tune in at least once if not a few times to see the gore.

Whenever I see or read a promo talking about how outlandish or extreme something is going to be, I make sure to not click on it, see it at the movie house, or even watch it on TV. I will not be part of the traffic jam when it is my turn to pass the carnage. I know that by doing so, I only contribute to a problem I abhor to begin with.

TV has been around since the 50s; when did people start taking steroids and having plastic surgery to change their voice and hair growth as well as genitalia? Most don't undergo the genitalia change as is. Will Bruce Jenner undergo a penectomy? At his age...why? An old man dressed up as an old queen isn't going to be big on the dating circuit.

Will Jazz see a genitalia removal specialist? Has it's parents convinced him/her to do so?

Not the point. Don't make this about "human rights". Yes, she/he is a real person, who is also probably too young to have developed sexually, so as to properly know what gender fully means.

So we want to be called one thing, but we were born another? MAKE THIS A NON-REVOCABLE ONE TIME DECISION.

The madness must stop.

If I may, I will answer these:

A) The show is CURRENTLY on television.
B) For discussion, thereof.
C) Waiting to see what everyone else says first.

Also, I do think it is good to have someone like Jazz out there. Trans children are extremely vulnerable and often feel completely alone. Seeing another child like them out there could really help them deal with their feelings.
I went to a mall about 8-10 years ago. This is a "big" event because I rarely go to the mall. So, I check out and there is a young looking chicky who rang me up. I think she was transitioning because the person had a deep voice. It was my first time meeting a transgender person. My then 8-9 year old daughter was with me. I was thankful she waited to ask questions until we got in the car. I explained to my daughter I did not know what the deal is, but we are to treat all people with dignity and respect (we were church going at the time)I explained since God made all people, we are to treat them as worthy of those basic things.

Some posts can be accurately be answered by anyone. However in this case, it is specifically directed to the originator who seems to make a new habit out of starting controversial/weird threads with only a headline, link, and no commentary in the OP.
It is also frustrating not to have some quote/s from the link as many of us refuse to click on links from weirdo sites to get the basic info on the topic.

seriously?? a 3 year old does not KNOW these things...they are mostly brief fleeting glimpses...some stick and some don't...
As a colleague of mine said recently when discussing this show, "at age 4 I wanted to be a tree, then a dog, then a snowman,..." Me, I seem to recall at age 4 I wanted to be part of the Rat Patrol and drive a Jeep. Then I wanted to be miniaturized so I could drive Gumby's Jeep.

The important part is to let the child express what they're feeling. It doesn't mean that they have to undergo hormone treatments. No one needs to set up a surgery date for the child or anything like that. But if a child is expressing that they feel like a different gender than what they are, the parent would be doing their child a favor to listen and support. A child who feels like parents hear and love them, no matter what, is going to be much more well-adjusted and happy. I chose my grandma when I asked my question, not my parents, because I knew that my grandma loved me unconditionally AND she'd listen to me. I love my parents, but I knew, even at age 3, that if I asked them "when am I going to be a boy?" they'd have looked at me like I was speaking a different language. Children are much more intuitive than we give them credit for.

It's a much more complex issue than just, "Oh, you're just a little kid. You don't know." Brain chemistry is involved. Just like how you might have a child who is talkative and outgoing... or shy and reticent, you can also have a child whose brain chemistry makes them feel as if they're the opposite gender. Maybe they'll "outgrow" it as they mature or maybe not. I'm sure for some kids it is just a phase, but for others it's really a huge issue in their lives.

I hope that Jazz isn't adversely affected by being on a reality show and talking about her life, but I think it's admirable that she's trying to help others who might be going through the same. Sometimes it makes a difference to just know you're not alone. If nothing else, maybe she'll help us all understand more.
So your grandmother understood you and abetted your fixation and you developed further in that route. Perhaps it was a phase and if you were not abetted you might have reverted to gender identity matching your genitalia. By your own words above you do not know. We do not give children free reign over their desires as adults we provide guidance and show them the way. Children are constantly developing, curious, observing, copying, mimicking, etc. It is part of shaping. I think we all know repeated or reinforced thought becomes action, action becomes habit, habit becomes character, character becomes destiny. I am unconvinced Trans-genderism is not some sort of emotional disability or poor exposure to external stimuli at early age.

Are transexuals officially the new topic that has replaced homosexuals?
