That's the hysterical part. If Congress could get the votes to override Obama's veto, the deal they kill stops at the Potomac River, it has no effect on China, France, Germany, Russia or Great Britain. The sanctions regime would fall like a house of cards and Iran will be free to go on its merry "nuclear" way. Unless of course the nuts take back the asylum and go for Gulf War: The Fiasco 2.0.

In the last thirty years the US has bombed, invaded or occupied some 13 or 14 Islamic countries to no avail because our "so called" sworn enemy has only gotten stronger and more threatening. Isn't it about time we try something else?

The deal reportedly gives UN nuclear inspectors extensive but not automatic access to sites within Iran.
Negotiations between Iran and six world powers - the US, UK, France, China and Russia plus Germany - began in 2006.
The so-called P5+1 want Iran to scale back its sensitive nuclear activities to ensure that it cannot build a nuclear weapon.
Iran, which wants crippling international sanctions lifted, has always insisted that its nuclear work is peaceful.
EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said the deal was "a sign of hope for the entire world".
"It is a decision that can open the way to a new chapter in international relations," she said, ahead of a final meeting between negotiators in Vienna."
I love how American conservatives hate Iran because it is "Muslim dictatorship" and at the same time they have nothing to say about the support granted to Saudi Arabia by the US.
Don't you know the Bush's close relationship with the worlds number one financier of terrorism? I've never heard FOX News mention a word about either, so American conservatives remain oblivious.
Unfortunately the media has fostered the impression that this is some sort of bilateral deal between the U.S. and Iran, it isn't. It is a deal brokered by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (France, Great Britain, Russia, China and the U.S.) plus the addition of Germany, Iran's largest european trading partner.
If anyone who believes that the U.S. alone could have struck a "better" deal a deal that would kept the sanctions regime intact with the disparate positions of the all the parties involved... all I can say is pass the pipe this way.
What many have neglected to mention is those "partners" stand to make billions from Iran when getting the sanctions dropped and for another thing, Iran is NOT aiming weapons at them, not in the streets chanting "death to China,Russia or any other country except the U.S. and Israel which would be fine with our "partners".
Yeah, we could've maintained the status quo and even tightened the sanctions and actually walked away from the negotiations until a different overture was made.
The deal is done, it WILL go through and we and our grandchildren will deal with the results be they good or bad.

I don't like a lot of what Iran's govt does from blocking Internet access to capital punishment for post Islam religious groups, and the death to Israel stuff though I dont like how the Palestinians are treated. But those sanctions mostly hurt the good average Iranian. As such I agree with the agreement and hope it works.
At least President Obama will be known for dividing the people of the USA and bringing Iran the nuclear bomb.
Way to go Mr. President!!
Are you on dope? Obama will be known for dividing people? Are you kidding me???? Lets go back in time a little shall we. I will try and make this simple for your...well shall we say, limited understanding of anything. Lets go back to 9/11. bush had the entire WORLD together! YES, the WORLD!!!!! The US was flying flags and untied. What did the idiot bush do? Did he go after bin Laden? Nope, Obama took care of that, but wait, bush started a no win oil war in Iraq! Are you kidding me? Talk about not only dividing our country, but dividing us from the rest of the world that are smart enough to see the oil money war. You really should just go back to school and start over. I can't imagine what it would be like to be so far out of touch with reality on global issues. I wouldn't know where to begin. I really wouldn't. Good luck to you on understanding anything. My advice to you is just don't vote and stay away from anything political. Just wow!
