Are you sure?

Now this is getting fishy.

Another self-confessed dolphin lover claims he had a six-month consensual affair with one of the sleek marine animals — and insists it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Malcolm Brenner, 63, shared his story with British newspaper The Mirror in the wake of a BBC documentary that featured Margaret Howe Lovatt, an animal researcher who said she had sex with a dolphin in the 1960s as part of a NASA-funded study.

Brenner, a writer who also admits to having prior sexual experiences with a dog, said he fell in love with Dolly the dolphin in a Florida amusement park in 1971.

Then there is also that thing about constantly being on the lookout for Japanese fishermen.

Where is the line between mutilation and treatment? If a patient desires gender reassignment, a psychiatrist confirms that the person is sufficiently rational to give informed consent, and there is nothing about the individual that suggests a particular risk -- why would that be unethical? Are cosmetic surgeons unethical because they cater to older people who want to look younger? How about psychiatrists that radically alter personalities with drugs? To me, the issue of medical ethics involves the judgment of whether the procedure helps or harms a person. Whether it is socially acceptable to perform the procedure is a different consideration. On the other hand, trans species surgery would be harder to justify on the basis that it would help a patient lead a better life.

Well, one day, I'm sure the technology to turn into an animal will exist. I can see it happening now: "I've always identified with my dogs. I know I should have been born a dog. I'm a dog trapped in a human body."

Strange, but isn't this where we're headed?
I knew a woman who was described as a "Crazy old Bat"; met a few dogs in my life; couple of slugs; a loon or two; a real b--ch; 4 cougars; a tiger mom; a bar fly, and heard that the FBI had a mole. Yeah. We're about there.
