The reason that the military isn't heavily armed within this country is so that they can't easily be used to revolt against the govt in a coup, and enact a military dictatorship, which has happened in many nations. That's why the police rather than the military are armed inside our borders.

Lutheran Terrorist Opens Fire in Charleston Church Killing Nine
....or
Christian Terror Attack on Historic Charleston Church

Were these the headlines we saw for THAT tragedy? Do we know that the Muslim religion played a part in THIS attack? Why do we make this assumption just because he is Muslim?

This is akin to always calling out ethnicity when an African American is the alleged perpetrator even though race isn't pertinent or newsworthy.

It is based on the ideology that drives the attack.

The Charleston Church attack was Racist, but not Christian. The killer did not shout 'Jesus my Lord' or something like that, when he slaughtered the innocent victims in the church.

Similarly the US Marines Recruitment Center attack by the Muslim was driven by Radical Islam. His blog makes this motivation very clear.

Radical Islam demands that Sharia/Islamic Law should rule the world and everyone must submit to it.

Keep deceiving yourself there are patterns in this case that have been revealed. Individuals with extreme Islamist views are not compatible with western civilization, in addition these nut-jobs believe they and their families will be heavily rewarded in the after life for murdering innocent people. They also don't believe in democracy and believe sharia law trumps the law of the land.

Why, then, is ethnicity , automatically called out, when an African American is the victim and the perpetrator is not African American? In the Brown and Martin cases, race was not even close to clear, as a motive. In the case being discussed here, Abu Shalamalamading dong, walks into a military recruiting center, during a Muslim holy period, and ISIS has fatwahs out, calling for attacks by the faithful, in America, and kills four Marines. Gee, this is a toughy. Could Islamic, jihadi, thoughts , possibly, be the motive?

Initially, granted, there are no, absolutes. However, even though its an assumption, in the initial stage, there is such a thing as a safe assumption. If he had targeted , say, a KFC, or a car dealership, there would be lots of room for doubts, bhf, a military recruiting center? Names things a helluva lot less questionable, as to motive. You v, Middle Easterner, Muslim, right after Ramadan, so, he had been fasting, and praying, so be word have been "purified" and clean, before Allah... yea, not rocket science. And, wonder of wonders, his motive was, indeed, jihadist.

I guess, it could be compared to a known addict robbing a pharmacy. What could ,possibly, be his motive?. Seriously, though I get the whole degree of uncertainty, in any given case, and that strange things do happen, in a case like this, the cleaning of motive has a pretty plain starting point, to start looking.

This event is sad. What is even sadder though is the response of the soulless and dead on the inside Americans who use this event to talk about how bad America is for killing people around the world. What the hell is wrong with people? 5 of our own get killed in cold blood on AMERICAN SOIL and the only response some people can give is make fun of it because it "is a tiny number" or talk about all the evil America does around the globe. Does it make you feel better to know that some Marines and a Sailor got murdered?

Ya and this country KILLS MORE INNOCENT PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD IN OTHER COUNTRIES (And our own I might add) THAN ANY MUSLIM HAS!! (Where is the recognition/sadness for them?)

This. America isn't really the "good guys" of the world. They kill plenty of innocent people in wars.
These responses to a tragedy such as this are PATHETIC.

I said this a very long time ago. I think it's time to completely close the borders, and create a "time out" on legal immigration until we can get a handle on what's going on. Now I understand that much of the violence is perpetrated by completely legal citizens (Charlotte). But with terror groups such as ISIS recruiting within our own borders doesn't it just make sense for a while to see what's luring people to groups such as this.

Also, how many people could be coming through unsecured borders as we speak, with their sole intent to do us or our country harm?

This isn't meant to be racist in any way, close the Canadian border, close immigration ports, secure the Mexican border. Deport people here illegally. At least for a time, this should be looked at.

Give me a break. Did you miss the mass hysteria after the Charleston event? Did you miss all the articles about "white supremacy" and "the new KKK?" Did you miss the tearing down of the Confederate flags? The desecration of Confederate memorials? Did you miss the massive "protests" and riots after Michael Brown and Freddie Gray where killed and all the media could do was race bait?

Every day a lot of white people are killed and raped by black perpetrators and we hear nothing. Every day dozens of blacks are killed by their own people and we hear nothing. There is nothing the media and race hustlers like Sharpton love more than when a white person kills a black person.

Actually it's quite rare for color or religion to be mentioned in the first headlines (unless it's white cop/black victim), even when it's quite pertinent (such as a black perp that got away and is being hunted). It's only later that they mention those attributes when it becomes clear that there is no other possibility and that the media is going to lose the scoop by being too pc. In this example, it took quite a while for CNN to finally admit that the guy was a Muslim jihadist.

My point was that it was not big enough to warrant an extreme response with big changes in govt policy, such as further restrictions on our rights in order to get a little extra security (such as the Patriot Act or the increased NSA surveillance of US citizens not tied to terror).
