The guy looks like he's been on a week long Meth binge.
That or bath salts,(herion, bath salts, and meth is a problem in rural areas. ) he lost a six month old baby, in May 2015,though. I know he is an evil, evil, evil, man...he lost a baby and that is still being investigated-that would age you, but he has always, always, been in trouble.
Maine to allow carrying of concealed guns without permit. I have to say it was reassuring to know other people in Maine do have access to firearms (hunting etc. rural area.) in case law enforcement could not handle him.
It does appear he gave up peacefully. He (the suspect) ended up at his uncle's house, and his uncle, made sure the gun was unloaded and disarmed.

Did the uncle point his shotgun to make convincing? With a kind word and a gun, you know, you can convince much better than without one or another.
