There are plenty of people offended by the music of rappers. So using your standard, their music is hate speech.

The comparison isn't odd. It's completely valid because what you are really saying is that if a White person says the N-word, it's hate speech but when a Black says it, it's OK. That is a standard based on race too and hence just as bad. i.e. Saying the N-word can't automatically assumed to be "hate speech".

Thus, I have yet to hear a valid reason for firing someone because they use profanity.

Its hate speech when a white person says it because most of the times it is said out hate ESPECIALLy when a crime is committed. Would be the same way if a black person used the "C" word. hateful Intentions are everything.

You might want to look up 'public servant'. Just because you don't like the word 'servant' doesn't mean public servant isn't the correct category for jobs like police officer.

And no, cops should not be allowed to do or say anything that indicates they might not be fair in doing their job.

Comparing public servants to rap artists is ridiculous. Rap artists do not have any power over anyone. They do not serve anyone. What they say may influence, but they cannot control what happens to individuals.
