The article stated the deceased drove his vehicle towards an officer. A vehicle is a deadly weapon.
It was a sting operation, set up by what one can only assume plain clothed officers. The girl he was with had a whopping 10 grams of cannabis. The driver had nothing, nothing at all. Maybe the kid got spooked by some guy with a gun coming at him?

You know, some white folks are so mad they can even figure out from day to day what it is that they should be mad about.

It seems that some white folks are all mad about Blacklivesmatter because a lot of black folks think that the Constitution is supposed to mean something, i.e., not killing unarmed suspects by the state without due process of law.

When an unarmed white kid get killed by the police, some white folks instead of getting on the anti-police abuse of one of our most fundamental Constitutional rights, they don't get upset at the police, they get upset at the black folks who stand up against the state.

Now this is where it gets confusing, at least to me, some white folks have been jumping up and down about the EPA, the IRS and all that big government repression of their imaginary constitutional rights but when it comes to police abuse and misconduct... well them people just got what they deserved or some such.

If white folks can get upset about white folks being gunned down by the police why should black folks give a damn??

Doesn't change the fact that this country has serious problems in its treatment of blacks, serious problems with discrimination by bigots against black people, and a shameful racial history against black people which continues to be a cancer on this country.

The only leg someone in your position can truly point to is history. Who is treating blacks bad right now and where is the serious problems with discrimination by bigots originating? Keep white cops out of it as they kill white people too and can't really afford to wait to see what the backlash of entertaining black criminals will bring these days. You see a result of such in Baltimore and MO.

History is easy to point at and it's even easier to try and assign blame to all white people alive now. The fact is most white people are fed up with the RACIST white privilege PC crap to the point we don't care anymore. If unwarranted anger is all you have to live for good luck.

And yet the independent autopsy shows him being shot from the side and later from the back.

It's impossible to ride towards someone while steering a truck and expose your side and back to them. This takes some serious acrobatics. If he was a passenger at least this would be physically possible.

Our history has creates the systems that create institutional racism. So yeah it isn't over. Please explain why Jeff, Jennifer and Mason get more job interview call backs than Tyrone, Osama or Aaliyah, with the same resumes. We have a system of injustice to break apart. Once that happens, then racism will be over. Right now we still aren't done, history has shaped the present and created a new version.

These threads are getting tiresome. Please stop using these threads to mock and insult Black people.

If white people really cared about these things, there would be a large reaction. Police brutality just hasn't been a part of the daily white experience in America. My fellow white people, accept it and move on.

Why does it bother white people that Black people complain about real maltreatment by the police? It's a real, documented issue.

Look, cops gunning down unarmed people for stupid reasons is scary no matter who it happens to. This one didn't get the media attention because there's no groundswell of American outrage against anyone but African-Americans getting treated this way. If you want more attention on cases like this, rouse some rabble. The difference between this kid and Michael Brown is who's agitating for him -- nobody.

Change the drug laws. Why do I care if someone is smoking, selling or carrying marijuana. I don't give a rat's a$$. If this gives a cop an excuse to kill someone, then more reason the laws should be changed. What did we learn from the first round of prohibition? RIP and condolences.

Unhappy It's all twitters fault, with their stupid 140 character limit!

The problem is that people want short hashtags. If the movement had picked #BlackLivesAlsoMatter or #BlackLivesMatterToo there wouldn't be the same backlash.

But people wanted to save 3-4 characters on their tweets and so excluded white lives from mattering.
