To tell the truth, when I first heard of this and knew only the bare bones of the crime, I honestly thought it was a crazed, white NRA nut. Coming home from the movies or something.
It looks lime as with many people, through the constant barrage of the media, that any mass murder has to be some white guy with an assault rifle doing the killing. Maybe this opens a few eyes to the reality that mass murders are not the purview of the white male.

All of which makes it no less disturbing or sad that someone felt the need to kill other people, to kill children. Horrible story.

This shows why some people find it relatively easy to shoot lions and other species for sport by the millions. A significant percentage of people are just evil. It's more than a few bad apples when you study the chronic state of the world.

Well yeah I suppose, but it's also an evolved instinct for males of any race to hunt animals (for food and so they don't hunt us), and occasionally to murder people. Most of us guys have experienced an occasional desire to kill, to “.... be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.” That's why it's so easy to manipulate males into signing up to risk their lives as soldiers ..... there's that natural evolved desire to be in a tribe or clan that is asserting dominance over another through murder.
Even pre-pubescent boys very often daydream about owning a gun or other weapons, and heroically killing the bad guys. I certainly did!
Like rape, it's a natural instinct that we humans have mostly suppressed in favor of a justice system based on controlling vengeance and violence.
Only problem is, many guys have less self-control than others, and more of a desire to hurt and kill. We call them "evil". To my mind, they are simply automatons controlled by their genes without the ability to reflect on what they do ...... society ought to study the secrets of ethnic groups that have managed to sublimate those instincts into sports or higher pursuits, such as current Europeans who have moved past an extraordinarily evil murderous, even genocidal, history in the matter of a few short decades and are now quite peaceable as humans go.
