In many jobs, including the recent Ranger school thing you will find disproportionate amounts of money and resources being expended just to get a few women to pass a test. How many women trued to get into Ranger School compared to the number of men? The percentages aren't the same. All this is done while at the same time saying there are no quotas. Right.
More women doing something isn't the solution to a problem unless you are willing to admit men and women are not equal. This different but equal stuff is nonsense. Another made up PC condition which is then used to intimidate anyone who sees reality.

That being said, a man may less likely to be involved in a shooting because his perception of the threat is just less likely to be that dangerous.
Anyway, LEO is like a 99% male job, ad only like 1% of incidents result in shootings and/or deadly force.

Conveniently, the article failed to note her gun was not locked away properly. The area she parked in is a known high crime rate area, something she should know. More promoted incompetence.

To be fair I have read plenty of stories about male police officers doing stupid stuff like this as well. All this shows is that people are stupid. Not that just women are stupid.
