If you could have been put in Jared's shoes then you'd be admitting to looking at child porn featuring kids as young as six years old. Also, he stated he was sexually attracted to 2 and 3 year olds, too. I seriously doubt that your attraction to a girl perhaps a few months to a year younger than you at the time is anything near what's up with Jared. Jared doesn't need anyone's sympathy.
If Jared sought help when he felt the urge for kids, then I'd wish him best of luck. Instead he gave in to his temptation and is getting help only after getting caught.
I guess with lack of any moral compass these past decades, a post/subject like this is even suitable. "feel sorry Jared"...I might think someone else needs to get help before they end up like Jared.
