Russia has repeatedly said no to genetically-modified (GM) crops, and in response to Western hostility against its efforts to remain free of the clutches of international central banks and corporate-owned agriculture, has established embargoes against its aggressors.

And the US media is having a fit over it. Meanwhile, The US did the same thing but instead of burning GMO foods, it destroyed Organic foods and closed down a business. (Rawesome Foods in California)

US media outrage over Russia incinerating contraband food ignores fact that FDA did EXACT same thing to Rawesome Foods in California

I started to incinerate some US beef last night, but at about 130 degrees, I had a change of heart and removed it from the flame. Best decision all day.

Russia is destroying food over the import ban in retaliation of the EU sanctions. Winter is coming in Russia and it does not produce enough food for its people. It has the potential to be an ugly winter destroying food is just making it worse.

Don't worry, people grow their own food over there. They'll survive without some imported junk food.

Farm land has pretty little value over there due to the weather. Without imported food they are in trouble. I just hope this does not cause further instability in the region. That is the last thing we need.

I'm sure starving people in Russia that were already struggling to get by are completely content with Putin's dick measuring contest.
