The latest incident involving alleged racist message on a receipt, kind of odd since the 'victims' were the same ethnicity as the restaurant staff I assume.
A Mexican restaurant is defending its image after a customer received a racially offensive message on her receipt.
"I grabbed the check and I'm looking at it, and that's the first thing that caught my eye, and I was like 'whoa!'" Beatriz Castorena said.
Castorena and her husband dined at El Valle Mexican Restaurant Friday night on West 38th Avenue. As she looked over her receipt, she noticed below her order of carne asada, were the words, "you f****** Mexicans."
I wonder how often these incidents are staged by the customers.
I mean, a waitress at a MEXICAN restaurant insulting her MEXICAN guests? Seems fishy.
I thought so too but the restaurant admitted it, gave an apology and comped the customer for their food. The restaurant claimed that one waitress had written that on there, meaning for the receipt to be handed to the cooks in the back as a joke, another waitress instead picked it up and took it to the customer. Sounds flimsy but that is what they are claiming.

I know, right? Why are the race words in the majority of CD threads on this particular board? Just rename this one the race board and start a new current events forum. True Crime isn't like that. Even the politics boards are more civilized. It's awful, and it's on both sides. I do believe that I've had enough.
