Am I wrong to have a President bow and scrape to a Japanese emperor and Saudi king?
Mr. Obama's gaffes were not intentionally craven, just ignorant. It would be very unlikely that he would repeat them. And there were others. Remember early on when he plumped for the Chicago Olympics, and the IOC told him in effect not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out?
The Marine mentioned in the OP may not be the most acute intellect on the planet, but our President has had considerable experience in making a fool of himself, as well.
Actually there were people everywhere that thought it was stupid. Just because you didnt see it didnt mean it didnt happen.
You know who thought it was stupid? People who didn't vote for him. But when Bush was flying the Bin Laden's home from this country when U.S. airspace was closed after 15 Saudi citizens murdered 3000 Americans, no outrage from conservatives. When Bush said he "didn't care where Bin Laden is, I don't really think about him", no outrage from conservatives.
I wonder why conservatives hate this country so much. Maybe I should write a letter.

Maybe you should write a letter.
And when you do perhaps you should write about how what you are talking about is from both sides.
Richard Nixon floated the value of the dollar against world currencies for the first time. Then, to prevent the dollar from failing, he made a deal with the Saudis that they would only accept dollars for their oil. To this day, every nation that buys Saudi oil (actually, the deal has expanded to the rest of the Saudi peninsula oil states) must first convert their own currency to dollars and make the purchase in dollars.
In return, the US promises to ensure the military security of those nations...and that is why the US rushed to the aid of Kuwait when Saddam invaded. That is why US presidents continue to kiss the Saudis on the lips even as they export terrorism to the US.

Our President is an Article III Section 3 (of the Constitution) President. While he hasn't levied war against the U.S. (but with Iran is now coming close) he has adhered to the U.S.'s enemies, giving them aid and comfort.
If one was wrong why does the other have to be right. Why couldnt they have both been wrong?
Good point, and thanks for defending me even when we often disagree. I repped this post because Hawk and I are duking it out elsewhere, and I respect his intellectual honesty and not making it personal. I think that any U.S. leader should present as the dominant party in any international relationship.
