Funny you mention this, because I ran into my pastor at the liquor store just last night, and after some discussion, we came to the conclusion it is the liberals doing.
Yes, it's the radical extreme fringe liberals. Which is why I am very "liberal", but not "a Liberal".
I think you got it right. I just looked it up on Snopes, they have it as "Undetermined" as of yet but they feel it may not be real. The person who posted it on Reddit has since deleted both the letter and her account, and they don't even have a city or state let alone name of any school. Snopes also feels the lunch box looks suspiciously old, as most schools banned metal lunch boxes a decade ago. I now think it's a hoax.
It's about 3/4 of the way down the page. I do see now that an actual ban may not be true, but I haven't seen metal lunch boxes for sale especially to preschoolers, and why would a child born 40 years after Wonder Woman went off the air even want one? She's not like Spiderman or Batman or Scooby, who never lost popularity. I think small kids may know SuperGirl but not Wonder Woman.
"Moreover, the Wonder Woman lunch box shown in the photograph is made of metal (a style of school lunch tote that has fallen out of favor). Unsubstantiated rumors hold that a metal lunch box ban has been in effect in schools since at least the 2000s; and while that may or may not be true in individual school districts, a browse of current lunch box offerings suggests that even plastic, hard-sided boxes have ceded market share to soft, zippered totes. By contrast, metal lunch boxes are primarily sold as collectibles or novelties in most retail markets."

'unsubstantiated rumors' is what it says. yeah, I can't see why wonder woman would be a likely pick for any kid these days, whether it was made of metal or not.

Pre-school has supposedly banned a lunch box because it featured Wonder Woman, which the school considers to be, along with all superheroes, a violent figure.
What if a lunchbox had a picture of a cop on it? Do cops ever visit that school to lecture kids about safety?
I don't know if this particular story is true or not but things sure have changed from when I was a kid.
I remember when I was in grade school, they used to let the kids watch TV in one of the offices after school if a parent was going to be late to pick them up. This was at a strict Catholic school and we used to watch 3 Stooges shorts sometimes and even the nuns would be laughing at some of the antics!
You think any school nowadays could get away with showing this?
So let's see. Do you really think the world is laughing at America over a lunch box?
I wouldn't doubt it look at the stupid crap we take issues over. People in this country seem to take offense at the most stupid things. Halloween customs, lunch boxes, etc.
