It becomes "our" problem when/if they engage in behavior such as the behavior that this clerk is engaging in. The point of my post, though, is that the precedent is already squarely against the clerk in this instance. Her dragging this out isn't setting any new precedent, but will merely reaffirm existing precedent. That's all I was stating.

The Marshall's won't have to be sent out, they are right there in the Court room.
What I find interesting is that the judge has ordered not only Davis to appear in court but her entire staff.
Perhaps the judge will try to compromise with Davis and get her to signing off on her staff issuing the licenses. If she were a reasonable person, ok, ok, ok, she could agree to just sign a bunch of blanks and let a staff member who does object do the devil's work. I could live with that.
I think this silliness is fine. This is a landmark precedent unfolding right now.
Yeah I feel bad for anyone who is embarrassed when she turns them down in the name of Juheesus, but I hope they can see that they're doing others a service by taking this bullet. It'll benefit all couples who want to marry in the future.

I'm pretty sure the rapture has already happened. My neighbor's cat disappeared a few weeks ago. I think he was the only True Believer living a Righteous Life that was swooshed up to meet Jesus in the clouds. So I'm expecting Hell and Tribulation to rain down upon us Unbelievers that were left behind any day now.
If I could earn $80K a year for doing nothing I'd probably consider it a "good job" too.
