Disgusting but can't stop watching.

Apparently the woman's winner ate more hot dogs than the men's second place winner.

Joey Chestnut gobbled down 75 weiners and buns in 10 minutes to win his 13th title. Somewhere around the 8-minute mark, Chestnut made history by eating his 1,000th career dog.

Miki Sudo ate 48.5 hot dogs to win the women's division and set a world record. It's her seventh title, more than any woman ever.

7.5 and close to 5 hotdogs per minute average is just crazy. I didn't watch it this year but have seen them in the past.

Joey Chestnut really upped the hot dog eating game since he beat Kobayashi many years ago and never looked back.

It's just not the same since Takeru Kobayashi left. There was just something surreal about watching a guy who looked light enough that I could pick him up, pack away so many hot dogs so quickly.

Chestnut scared him away and he knew he could not compete with Chestnut. It's interesting to watch some of the old contests when most of the participants were extremely overweight. They came a skinny Japanese kid that wiped away the fat guys. Kobayashi started to lose it once he started gaining muscle it seemed to me. Chestnut improved upon this idea and never looked back.
