Love the sympathy the confederate flag is getting. Wow, the civil war is OVER people. GET A GRIP. If your life is dependent on this flag maybe you should re evaluate things in your life...

this has everything to do with the SJWs stealing our first amendment rights not just "some flag". They start taking your rights from you little by little then you wake up one day and you are in 1984...

Actually, you're wrong.
University of California, Irvine banned the American flag because it represented the oppressors and imperialism. Google it

Several cases have been linked and cited so far, including a decision from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. But people will just double-down on pouring more sand over their heads. I think flying what has come to be known as the Confederate Flag is dumb, but people have a 1st Amendment right to display it.

Ok. I did. And so far found nothing that said such a ban actually took place.

No it's there. In fact, I occasionally substitute teach. Actually, I did that today. And guess what was in every class room? The American flag.

Where do people get this type of information?

Now the Confederate flag on public school buses - NO. - On your own pick up truck? Knock yourself out.

So, what would you do, shoot someone over a bumper sticker? Really?

You did not find it. Therefore, it never happened.

Try here: http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/08/living...lag/index.html

A simple search found that. Looked hard, did you?

Mac, first of all I said, "so far found nothing that said such a ban actually took place". I didn't say I had searched exhaustively.

Second, that ban never took place. It was vetoed.

So I am still waiting for someone to show where such a ban actually took place.

So, since you snottily criticized my internet search capabilities, I'm sure you won't mind if I politely criticize your reading abilities.

I think the Confederate flag's meaning in this day and time, besides being part of the South's history, has morphed into an expression of an independent spirit..."don't tell me how to live and don't interfere with my way of life." I believe it has zero to do with people wanting a return of slavery.
