No telling what they might be hiding underneath those Bra's. Could be a dangerous weapon(s).

I remove my belt and keys. No difference.

They are now aware there is a problem. They need to wear bras that don't have underwires if they want to see their clients at the jail, it really is that simple. As long as the jail is willing to also ban male undergarments with wires, it is not discrimination. There is no constitutional right to wear an underwire bra anywhere you want. There are other types of bras they could wear instead so they are not being denied the opportunity to see their clients.

This is a security issue. Period.

In theory I agree with the ban, but finding a supportive bra without an underwire isn't easy. I hate underwires, but they are a necessary evil for well-endowed women. I've tried ones without and they just don't work as well...

Only if you must remove your underwear. Women have 2 undergarments. Men just the one.

If my scivvies were lined with metal I would have to do the same.

Neither of which can only be bought with metal or wires. I have only owned one underwire bra in my life and as far as I am concerned that was one too many. There are very good, supportive bras out there without a single wire. I am all for "to each their own" but if you aren't allowed to wear undergarments with wires for security reasons, there are other viable options.

This is such a non-issue. I may prefer to wear an underwire, but it is neither the only option nor medically necessary. And, it's something relatively easy to change for a time, then change back if desired.

Oh, and LOTS of men wear undershirts. That's 2 undergarments. And not all women wear bras at all. Some people go commando. So saying it isn't fair because it isn't equitable doesn't seem a valid argument to me.
