The hosts of “The View” were forced to do some damage-control on Friday after two sponsors -- Johnson & Johnson and Eggland's Best -- dropped their ads from the show following jokes that hosts Joy Behar and Michelle Collins made about the nursing profession.
Quote:
As the opening credits for the show rolled, an announcer revealed Friday’s show would include “real-life nurses are giving us a look at the life-saving role they play every day.”
Behar then walked on set and said, “We’ve been talking a lot about nurses this week, and today ‘The View’ is going to celebrate nurses. They are here… and we can’t wait to talk about all the great work they do.”....
As the mother of an RN who does yeoman work in the ER, I wish more sponsers would pull out. The View is so irrelevant and definitely ignorant.
Interesting that this thread was started on the day that The View "celebrated" the nursing profession as opposed to the day that the show where a couple of them did not, don't you think?

The linked article is dated today. Not so interesting, in fact.
One of the view idiots asked why a nurse was wearing "a doctor's stethoscope."
