Nice to see some kids are still raised right.

Boy buys Florida deputy breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts - TODAY.com

Quote:
Deputy Donnie Jackson stopped by Dunkin' Donuts in Weston, Florida, on his way to work, not expecting to be moved to tears while checking out.

Before taking out his wallet to pay for an iced coffee and sesame seed bagel, he heard a boy say, "Dad, I'm going to pay for his breakfast."

When the Broward County deputy graciously denied the offer, the boy's parents insisted saying, "When you walked into the door, he insisted on buying your breakfast because he appreciates the thankless job you do!"

BSO deputy reunited with boy who paid for breakfast - WSVN-TV - 7NEWS Miami Ft. Lauderdale News, Weather, Deco

of course he did, lol.

Good on the kid though. His folks are doing something right. I wish more folks would practice random acts of kindness.

Excellent

I only wish it had been a salad instead

Good cop no donut... bad cop = fat cop =too many donuts

Maybe this young chap will grow up and seek a life of public service... one contact is all it takes for someone with the right mind

That kid must have a good job. When I was 7 years old I still relied on my parents to buy my breakfast much less breakfasts for random strangers.

But seriously, that's a heartwarming story.

Me too, especially when the mother of the young man the BSO saved over a decade ago got in contact with him because of the gesture of the 7 year old. A small kindness can set in motion wonderful things. The officer was quite blessed to see the two year old boy he saved grow into a young man.

"an iced coffee and sesame seed bagel" but the typical posters here play the cop and donut angle. Morons.

Good for that young man, very nice gesture.
