The 7 11's in our precinct gave us free coffee. Where do you think the cops went on their down time? We went to 7 11. LOL. At 7 11 we had the use of clean bathrooms. At 3 am in the morning do you think they liked having cops in their store? They loved it!!! If a perp drove by what did he see? A cop car!! Also if a perp thought about robbing 7 11 they all knew that's where cops went. They knew to go somewhere else. Smart business!! In the middle of the night it was 7 11's and gas stations that were open
So free coffee bought special protection. Interesting.

Coffee and bathrooms . Sometimes coffee and then the bathroom. Like I said it was 7 11's...gas stations and one diner that were open. That's it. We would have gone there anyway. Like I said its smart business. They know you will be in there. Oh and they also gave coffee to the emt;s and sanitation. The 7 11 never had a problem.

if i ever open an all night business i am for sure giving discounts or freebies to LEO
I think the rules for restroom use are stupid and archaic. Who cares if you use a bathroom without paying? Sometimes you just have to go.
The problem is you'll have all kinds getting in there - junkies will use it to shoot heroin, vagrants will be taking baths in the sink, defecating all over the floor and walls, some even falling asleep in there.

And they're usually the types who'll paint law enforcement with a broad brush, but when somebody states a general fact about any other group of people, they want their heads.
