Just a note, Umpqua Community College is not a "gun-free" zone as far as I'm aware.
Their website is down so we can't search their handbooks, but Roseburg is a somwhat more conservative part of Oregon. From what I know of their community college, it's not likely to have a "gun-free" policy. If it's anything like my campus, they probably ban open carry but allow concealed carry with a valid CHL.

Why is the ATF "investigating" this? Per cnn. Yeah have an agency with a history of mass killings of it's own investigate. Why are Feds there anyway? It's a local event on state property. I could see state police taking over, but the atf?

OK. Here you go. If there were 3 trained students in three different corners of the room, the teacher may have been shot in the head, but no students would have been shot. The trained person would have dropped the shooter and prevented losing 14 more dead and more wounded.

I am sick of anti gun zealots telling me that I can't defend myself from people like these school shooters or comon criminals.
When you anti gun, anti human rights people stop all crime, THEN I will hang my guns up. No I won't give them up, but when you solve the problems of crazy, thuggy, criminals, tyrants and despots then I'll store them in a trunk in case I should need them someday.
