Good lord, READ what I said about my daughter. She worked in a rescue home for young prostitutes... she was one of the professionals trying to help those abused.
And frankly, I will take her words, and the police and social workers I know over those that think prostitution is a victimless crime and try and justify it.
And if you ARE trying to justify it and deflect. You have NO idea what horrors these girls go through, and thankfully, I only do second hand, albeit from my daughter as the professional helping these girls recover, and others who have to deal with them.
It breaks my heart what they go through, and yet people like you still justify it that it is 'just another job.'
I can't understand your thinking. Not when I know the real human suffering that goes on.
Well, take you and your broken heart down to the DA's office and swear out a citizen's arrest warrant for the pimps that you KNOW are the perps involved. Just being a keyboard warrior is not up to the task.

I am a sex worker. And I find this to be utterly ridiculous. Shaming people for consensual relations is just loathsome moral policing and simply should not be occurring. I depend upon sex work for survival and stuff like this makes it harder for me to live.
I would put forward that whether prostitution be legal, monitored, or even used as a regular service by the government differs from nation to nation. Yes, a good portion of prostitutes are bullied and or exploited into it in some way, but you're also forgetting that a good portion are not. They make the decision themselves; the decision may be one based on socio-economic motivations, freedom from the traditional, or some kind of emotional baggage, but it is still their free-choice (at least in some cases). Furthermore, regulations would at least hurt the business of pimps, and likely organized crime who traffic innocent women into countries. As for child exploitation, I don't think legally prostitution for ADULTS would increase or decrease the amount of monster who pray on children. The point being, the use of "Shaming Tactics" really shows a strong element of Religion being applied to what should be secular concerns.
In a case were the women was in no way exploited and the John paid, having him publicly berated in an act of 'shaming, does not balance the scales of justice, and is borderline "cruel and an unusual punishment" given the level of crime. On the other hand, in the case of Child sex-offenders (they being among the highest recidivism rates), I see no issue in plastering their disgusting mugs everywhere.
