Now this discussion has morphed into Black voting patterns. What does this have to do with discrimination and college campuses?
Well one could argue that blacks have been voting the same way for over 50 years, yet apparently are still unhappy with the way things are going in this country if they're protesting left and right like they have been for the past couple years, so why keep voting that way?

And then blaming the other party when things haven't turned out their way.
The fact that many blacks vote for one political group, that one aspect and statistic makes it okay to think of all blacks as a monolithic group, [snip]

Discrimination? Is discrimination synonymous with special treatment?
Are you serious? If I had called my professor even one name the black students in the twitter universe did I would have been expelled or worse.

I think an equally important question is why the term racism is being confused with the term discrimination. As has been pointed out several times throughout this thread, the specific complaints of the Missouri students are based on acts of racism, not discrimination. They are two distinctly different terms that need to be used appropriately in this discussion in order to maintain context.

That I agree with. Even the Hispanics have surpassed them and they are ESL folks still learning the language.
But Hispanics are less likely to rely on the government.

So perhaps the issue is not politics at all and the group needs to change from within.
