The threat of a terrorist attack is real. Whether ISIS's threat is real I have my doubts.

If you blow up the capitol buildings, there will be hundreds/thousands of tourists killed or injured.

I hope it was sarcasm, and I can generally find humor in sarcasm and have been known to frequently engage in it, but if it was it did not come across very well as it.

The cleaning up of my government I want done is by me, at the voting booth.

Right, discuss that with the people of Paris.

OH, I forgot Paris was part of the United States.

Look, you do not have to "get" every joke. You do not have to like every joke. I personally find it in poor taste to even mention the people I have lost to people I do not really know let alone try to exploit their memory to win an internet debate. YMMV.

First, the mention of Paris has to do with what just occurred there, not it's location.

Lost lives, and the impact that loss has on people, is a factor when discussing a terrorist attack or potential terrorist attack. It is a really big factor. Maybe the biggest factor. That is like debating school violence with someone and saying it is in poor taste to discuss the time their son got beat up.

There have always been crazy people in the world. Sometimes it takes a ruthless leader of a country to keep them in check. When you remove that ruthless leader from power the crazies are still there and have no one left to stop them from acting out their craziness. It takes a ruthless leader(Putin) to realize that Assad needs to remain in power.

The do gooders of the world like Obama, Bush and many in the US allow the craziness to continue through their own ignorance.

I disagree, if they had a 5 year old child and a politician in front of them, (no doubt they would kill both, but...) I think they would kill the kid because it has greater terror impact.

First the location does matter.

It reminds me of all the people who criticized the US intelligence services because they did not take the threat from Al Quida' to attacks the US seriously. An intelligence official said that there are thousands of threats to the US EVERY DAY. It is not that none of the threats are real but how to tell which ones are and how to act on them.

When I was in the Army we had a lot of this gallows humor. You probably would have been shocked but we would just laugh at you too and most likely take it up a notch.

I am not afraid of ISIS. I think Europe has more to fear from them at this time. YMMV.

If you cannot make jokes because of the terrorists then they have already won.

But I think it is good that you are directing your righteous anger at an American who did not kill anyone this weekend as opposed to the people who killed over 125 people in Paris on Friday.

Killing the politician would get more recruits and more $$$$$ which is what at least some of this is about.
