I was thinking that if ISIS just kept their violent ways inside of Syria without blowing up the Russian jet, burning the Turkish pilot alive, blowing up Paris, etc then maybe they might have a chance at taking over Syria. Instead they are just inciting war and their own demise.

Nothing has changed. Western politicans have no will to fight. None. Everything you are hearing now is just noise. The French will forget and roll over just like they forgot Charlie Hebdo.

Europe has two possible futures:

A) Dominance by a coalition of left wing apologists and Muslims for a decade or two before Muslims no longer need them

B) Neo Nazi parties such as Golden Dawn and the National Front take over and the great Repulbican tradition of modern Europe dies with them.

The Jihadists have already won in destroying Europe as we know it. It is just a matter of time.

There is will to fight them now, IMO. Obama needs to wake up and realize you can't allow terrorists to have a freaking state where they can do things like develop chemical weapons! I think France or Russia is going to take the lead on this, though.

Think back to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the red line drawn to bring US military involvement into the war against Assad. There were certain acts that had to take place in order for Obama to comply with the demands of the coaltion of governments opposing Assad that the US commit ground troops. This is the same with Islamic State in Syria (ISIS) but the red line is not clear cut as a chemical attack (which turned out to be staged by the rebels with Sarin gas sourced from Turkey). They are trying to build cause for the American public to support military intervention to support the terrorists.

That was awesome. My husband showed it to me a couple of days ago.

My opinion is their resorting to 'soft' targets is an indication they can't win at conventional warfare on the battlefield.

Russians don’t beat around the bushes. A few more of these and ISIS would beg to fight the US instead.

I think groups like this have an apocalyptic fantasy, they are going to go down in a blaze of glory kind of thing and they set about making it happen. I'm fine giving them what they want. Its just terribly sad the innocent people they kill on the way. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows this will not be tolerated. They will be stopped even if they all have to die. I think that's what they want.

Syria is Russia's domain anyway. Let them spend the money and blood to put Assad back in power.
