I wouldn't call it "ignorance" it is odd though.

People here in America are taking the new fad of "comfort animals" to a higher level. We all know how animals can bring joy to humans but I have heard of cases where people have moved into apartments with strict no pet policies then the person gets a note from a doctor or shrink and suddenly the landlord is facing a lawsuit if he doesn't comply and let the animal in. Then there goes the no pet policy.

What is next for America? This type of doll maybe? I wonder how long it will be before the "dolls" get rights of their own.
I can see it now some oaf brings his sex doll on the airplane and a bunch of do gooders sue the man on behalf of the doll and he ends up having to pay alimony to it.

The world is ODD

It certainly isn't ignorance on the part of the airline. I'll bet other countries' airlines would love to see such a trend happen.

Of course the airline would be HAPPY to sell them a ticket for their doll. There is a restaurant that will serve the dolls at children's prices.

I was wondering why one of my friends was posting pictures of her doll with food and money surrounding it.

Doesn't seem that much order than other superstitions around the world.

At least they would be quieter and smell better than a companion turkey.

Part of the story also says that some restaurants are offering meals to these dolls at reduced "childrens price" and have had 30 people buy them. Uh, it will just have a glass of water, thank you>

Something does seem odd that grown people need a doll for comfort. Play with dolls.... Seems we are setting people up to think they can't comfort themselves. Grown ups should know how to keep their own selves entertained and least of all calm. We are nearing the danger zone.......adults who act like children more than children do.

Or will this open more doors to obesity? How does one "worship" a doll..........this is more than my brain can handle.
"In the past month, more than 30 customers have brought their Luk Thep to eat at Neta Grill," the restaurant said on its Facebook page Sunday. "Neta Grill is open to all worshipers (sic) and we're glad to serve Luk Thep at children's prices on the condition that all of the food ordered is consumed."
