Kangaroos are marsupials, so it sounds like the kid was planning on putting explosives in the kangaroos pouch.

But that doesn't even begin to explain how the kid thought he could catch a kangaroo first, get it to chill out for storing the explosives, then train it to go in the right direction.

Is it bad I feel worse for the kangaroo than any potential human victims? I really hate animal cruelty.

Remember when being a kid didn't entail detail. Starting to wonder what kids are eating not eating these days. Is this to much time on their hands or not enough time.

Well, I don't know whether it's "bad" per se for feeling the way you do. It's the way you feel, it's as simple as that. I 'feel' similarly. What irks me somewhat is the higher value that we place on human beings when we share the same planet with all living things. I'm an animal lover too and I would certainly take the side of the animal any day over some piece of human flotsam who would wish to harm an animal. So, I kinda know what you mean in this case even though, in actuality, I'm sure that both of us would not want humans harmed either.

Well, I'm not surprised for this, the use of an animal as a bomb delivery device, has been a known tactic for years.

In Colombia (and other countries), they are known to use mule bombs in a similar approach to car bombs.
