Credit Card Terminal Get Compromised in 3 Seconds by skimmers

Pretty scary stuff.

I used to think it took some time to install these devices and in areas not usually monitored by the public.

Yet it looks like some have come up with a device than can simply be placed on top of a reader in seconds.

I haven't had any skimming incidents for any of my cards going back 26 years (knock on wood).

You’re probably familiar with credit card skimming: Thieves place a device over a payment terminal or ATM reader designed to steal and store your debit card or credit card information once you swipe its magnetic stripe.

What you may not realize is how quickly and easily someone can install such a device.

That is why you should never use a credit card at a gas pump, that is where most skimmers are found.

This type of crime has a pattern I will share because I have been reading about in the news and I am in IT.

A lot of these crimes are occurring in cities where a lot of immigrants come and go quickly.........
