A few years back a woman in Dayton killed her baby in a microwave oven and recently in Franklin Ohio a woman killed her stepson by scalding him in hot water.

I really wish eye for an eye punishments were morally acceptable. I wonder how much of a decrease in certain crimes, if any, we'd see if we did to the perps the same thing they did to their victims...

Perhaps not much......if this was a case of her "not being right in the mind".
When we can't understand how someone could do such a thing, then there is a decent chance at least of us seeing something that a normal person would not do.

So that little girl has to grow up knowing that her mother tried to kill her. What will she end up like as an adult? One effed up person I imagine. So sad.
An Example of The Degradation of Society American Style Madness
Society has produced a generational madness among people - It is unlikely that its the fact the internet reports everything, because there were just some things people did not do long ago.
There are too many people making babies in a society who are and has "a fully disjointed family unit" - people have little tolerance for much of anything, because in our society: "Media Commercials paint pictures telling them what they must have and what they must get, and how happy getting stuff will make them. Then you get these young mothers who see these entertainers parading their babies as if the baby is a novelty item. what they don't tell is, that many have Nannie's taking care of those babies, and these people are paid to flaunt what ever keeps them in the media.
Working, working poor, and dire poor mothers, are the first to be the young mothers who become overwhelmed, they have nothing to drawn upon to support stability of mentality or living conditions and a value base, many have dysfunctional relationships and poor, low and in some cases no family network to connect. Too many are made pregnant to males who have no idea of what is his responsibility about his own sperm, he just thinks he can deposit it any place and suffer no responsibility, unaware of the damnation's he cause to the lives of women and the babies they bear and carry to bring forth. All he is concerned about is the ignorance of his misplaced ego, to think that laying with any woman that walks is his claim to self degradation, of which he thinks is a glory label , when fact is: time produces him to be simply one who is irresponsible to be and become a man. (The Prisons are full of them, as is the Gangs, and the Swindlers and such). They are so far from being men, its little help other than learning of God that can save them. ( This is about "ALL ETHNICITY" of people) So, make no mistake, within this country, no ethnicity is exempt from this craziness !!!!!!
It's chaos. They go off the deep end. The public image many people present in one things, but the real nature of the individuals character can be seen if people look beyond the gimmicky imagery.
People have too many illusions and sadly some have been raised their whole life from one fiction filled setting to the next and when reality is before them, they come un-hinged.
We can't fix these kind of problems until we fix our system which educates people in the home and in the schools to understand, what is basic life, its principles, responsibilities, and how not to get lost in material measure and vain status imagery lusting's.
If we don't look in these areas, what we will continue to see is more and more articles, of "ignorant people" who've escalated to the level of "imbeciles", and result to kill their mate, the kids, the family, the extended family and go about killing random people who are unconnected to them by any association.
We lost a lot with the loss of Industry, because for some it was a source of community, there was a network of people who built bonds, and being a functioning worker was more important, than a status chase madness.
We as a society,pushed images via our "COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENTS", "TV CHARACTER DEPICTIONS" and now "REALITY CELEBRITY MADNESS of who and how people was suppose to be guaranteed these images of fictional success, pomp and pageantry, label and title and then university followed it up with pushing this delusion in young peoples heads, they could become an instant "genius" via a 4 yr Country Club Atmosphere, of University Campus, by attending a few classes and pursuing a unit credit total, and WHAMO, they are give a degree and told they are now masters of the universe.
We have both educated and uneducated people buying into this fiction. The so claimed educated walk out in the world making decisions about things they have no idea of its outreach and connectivity, and we have the older lazy people who put them in these positions. EVERYTHING in our society has began to fail and madness has become so absurd, until people have lost the concept of decency, humanity and what is compassionate self management.
Look at the absurdity of the current day "advertising commercials", total disregard for social decorum of respectful character presentations, overly sexualized to the level of LEWDNESS, imbeciles doing daredevil things, and what ever can be conjured to present the most outrageous idiotic imagery of people, and push the concept that this is how to live life.
Our young are impressionable, and our aged, who bore these generation of young people, are offspring's of baby boomers who chased the delusion of the made for TV 1940-1960's scripted imagery of tv characterizations. And, we get what we have today.
We can't build anything, we can't even maintain and sustain the things built by people 2-3 generations ago, we have lost any and all sense of legacy maintenance of management, and we sell and do anything to flip a buck.
OUR SOCIETY IS IN TROUBLE, - we make pun and fun, but do we really understand the reverbrations of the impact of this madness????
Do we discuss morality, ethics, character, honor-ability and dignity and all of the God essence things which are essential to a God loving people?
We have not began to talk about the horrors of the human being on a "GLOBAL SCALE".... !!!! mankind makes miserable a world of which God made of such magnificent beauty.

I'd be just about ready to pull the plug on earth if I were watching this show every day. Moral decay in a society that consists of an ever growing population that believes there is no higher power to answer to. No doubt the atheists will laugh it off but lack of conscience, I believe, is from the lack of belief in some higher power.
If you want to believe this stuff has been going on forever and we just didn't hear about it, dream on. While you are dreaming on ask yourself what acts you might have done or would do but for conscience.
Sounds like the mom is an uneducated POS and should be held without bond in jail.
