Police arrested a Longwood, Florida, 12-year-old girl for pinching a male classmate's butt during school hours. Breana Evans has been charged with misdemeanor battery and was temporarily placed in juvenile detention.
...
The state attorney said that Breana will have to complete community service, submit to drug tests, and take classes. If she does all those things, the charges will eventually be dismissed.
Now I know this is an overreaction - but part of me says, hey - women want equal treatment... here you go. Because if this was a boy, the punishment would have been worse than this.
A 12 yr old girl will carry for the rest of her life this Police reaction for a normal human reflex action that his been happening for centuries. We have survived all this time and now the PC crowd have jumped on the bandwagon of stupidity.
I raised 4 boys and 3 girls so do understand teens way of thinking.
off to joooovey for ya! best we nip this behavior in the bud before it develops to something worse, like stealing cars, lighting them on fire and pushing them down the hill and crashing into the warming house...not that I know anything about that

My child dealt with this at school and felt uncomfortable and guilty because she couldn't stop the unwanted touching. The school couldn't keep it from happening, although they did try. She used to try wearing her coat all day in the building because otherwise the boys would pull her bra straps, squeeze her butt cheeks, pull up her skirt, etc. I only found out about it when she got a heat rash from wearing the coat all the time, because she was ashamed to tell me.
My husband said when he was in middle school, there was a girl who would grope him in class or on the bus, and he would tell her to stop and she wouldn't. He talked to a male teacher about it and the teacher told him that a normal guy wouldn't complain about something like that.
I'm glad to see it being taken seriously. Kids aren't too young to learn to respect others boundaries and to refrain from unwanted touching.
