Pennsylvania parents are found dead from 'overdose' in McKeesport home | Daily Mail Online

Quote:
A Pennsylvania couple have been found dead of suspected drug overdoses after their seven-year-old daughter told officials at her school she couldn't wake up her parents.
The Allegheny County medical examiner says the bodies of 26-year-old Christopher Dilly and 25-year-old Jessica Lally were found Monday evening in their McKeesport apartment.
Authorities say a nine-month-old girl, three-year-old boy and five-year-old boy who were inside the home were taken to a hospital to be evaluated.

Lt. Andrew Schurman says it appears Dilly and Lally might have been dead for a day or two. He says they are believed to have died from a drug overdose and foul play is not suspected.
Police say another fatal heroin overdose happened on the same street earlier that day.
Police were called to the couple's home in the 900 block of Evans Avenue at around 5pm after Lally and Dilly's oldest daughter alerted a counsellor at her school that something was wrong with her parents.
Police say evidence of drug use was found inside the family's apartment where their bodies were discovered.
Autopsies will be conducted on the two adults to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Neighbor Jordon McCallister told the station WPXI he saw Dilly and Lally's children on Sunday but there was no sign of their parents.

Back in February, a woman who identified herself as Jessica Lally's sister, Courtney, shared with the true-crime blog Umbrella of Suspicion a series of striking photos that were purportedly taken inside Jessica and Christopher's previous place of residence.
According to the blog entry, Courtney Lally accused her sister of being a drug addict and keeping her four children living in filthy conditions.

Lally aired her grievances against her sister in a rambling, punctuation-free Facebook status update dated February 13, which read: 'this is how Jessica Leigh Lally lives with her children and Christopher Dilly flood Facebook with this in till it gets to them I want people to see what dirty bad parents they truly are its so sad they do not care about their children never have never will they beat their kids and make em stand in the corner all day they children are so damaged its not funny'.

The post was accompanied by photos purportedly taken inside the couple's then-home showing filthy rooms strewn with piles of garbage, a dirty bathroom with stains on the wall and a broken door hanging off the hinges.

How absolutely HORRIBLE! Both parents were horrible and I feel so absolutely awful for the young girl.

Sorry two people are dead, but it might just be the best thing to happen for those kids.

I hope they get all the help they're going to need.

It is sad, but maybe for the better of the child. My brother (which i have not talked to) has been on heroin for over 10 years... Its a terrible disease/addiction.

I always wonder why these people don't use birth control. Probably because they're so strung out on drugs, but at least with no kids the only lives they ruin are their own.

I don't want to think about that poor kid, she is going to need therapy when she grows up. I hope there are other family members that can care for her?

Default It's probably going to get a lot worse

Yep, the MSM have been talking about a tidal wave of opioid use & abuse in the last year or so, out in the US rustbelt & wherever people are struggling to make ends meet. Various places in OH - for instance - are maxing out their anti-opioid poisoning budget, leaving them to make very difficult decisions about budgeting.

The anti-opioid poisoning meds work - they can bring back people who are clearly in difficulty, typically breathing problems. Once the budget starts to scream, the various first responders have to start making decisions: How many times do they bring people back from the edge of death? How many times do they bring the same person back from the edge?

There is a lot of pain out there. Condolences to the children & relatives.

As cruel as this is going to sound, the children are better off now. They can be raised in more appropriate surroundings.
