The University of Florida is offering counseling to anyone who gets offended by any costumes worn this coming Halloween.

The school wrote in a blog post Monday urging students to “think about your choices of costumes and themes.”

“Some Halloween costumes reinforce stereotypes of particular races, genders, cultures, or religions. Regardless of intent, these costumes can perpetuate negative stereotypes, causing harm and offense to groups of people. Also, keep in mind that social media posts can have a long-term impact on your personal and professional reputation,” the post read.

Teach them they are Halloween costumes and those offended need to grow up.

Some of these kids are going to wind up having full on nervous breakdowns before they turn 30 once they get out into the real world.

If you require counseling because someone's choice of Halloween costume offended you to such a drastic extent, you pretty much have the emotional and mental fortitude of an eggshell.

I'm offended by the perpetually offended, so where's my counselor?

If my kid was attending that university, I would be questioning if they were putting my hard-earned money to the best use.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Seriously, if you're that messed up over a costume than you need serious counseling ON YOUR OWN DIME! And maybe keep yourselves indoors and isolated on Halloween! This must be a joke! C'mon!

What a sad state of affairs that this latest generation seems to have no resilience to anything that irritates or offends them in any way. And pretty much everything seems to reduce them to quivering masses of hurt and "scared" feelings. OMG.

These personality types were created by GenX parents, who were not - for the most part - raised that way. Why have they chosen to raise their kids to be such delicate crybabies? I don't get it.
