A few years ago, a guy went into a local police station and when he saw a cop he pulled out what looked like a gun and stood there. He wouldn't follow the officers commands to drop it and when he advanced, the cop shot him.
Inside his pocket was a note saying he apologized for putting any officer through the situation but he had terminal cancer and didn't have the guts to do this himself.
