because us mom's deserve an extra hour of sleep one day a year! Although they take it away from us in the most brutal form 6 months later.

Not all states follow Daylight Savings Time.. Hawaii and Arizona do not follow it.

I would rather have the sun rising at later in the AM and setting late in the PM.

Did you ever think of all the school kids waiting for the morning busses in the dark due to Daylight Saving Time ?

It doesn't change here in NE BC. The sun doesn't come up until 9am in the winter. Nothing bad happens from it, everyone just rides the bus/ walks/ drives as per usual in the dark in the morning. And it's awesome as the sun doesn't set until after 5 so everyone actually gets to enjoy it.

It's a stupid practice to keep changing the clocks constantly.

You state you see no good reason for Daylight Saving Time.

Then you write.. 4...reasons why you favor Daylight Saving Time .

You realize, I hope, that YOUR state government works for YOU and your neighbors?
If you feel that strongly about the issue, get together with your like-minded citizens and create petitions to hold your state on Standard Time forever! If enough people sign the petitions, perhaps your Legislators will listen and do what you want. If they don't, then you need to vote against them at the next election!

Personally, changing the clocks does not inconvenience me one bit, never has. By 2100 Mountain Standard Time on Saturday evening I had all the clocks in the house that needed reset done, except the coffee maker. I did the coffee maker this morning. My bedroom clock radio resets itself automatically, fall and spring.
Maybe I will reset the clocks in the vehicles one of these days. They aren't really all that vital. In fact, they might not have been reset last spring, so they are correct now!
I'm sorry to be so unsympathetic, but I just can not understand all the stress over a simple act that takes less than 15 minutes twice a year!

I thought the "fall back" was the DST. Once in goes forward in the spring I think it should stay there.

No I did not. And as has been mentioned, I too have been reading about a movement to start school later due to sleep and other such concerns, which would solve the DST effect. I think it's nuts seeing kids being picked up at 6:30AM.
