seems a lot like the 'quiet game' played in the car on long road trips. great idea!
I was thinking the same thing while watching the video. Maybe I'll try telling my students to pretend like they are mannequins on days when they're especially talkative.
Sounds like "The Freeze" from the 80's. Boy, I loved that dance!
......but I guess we did a different one than what Youtube is showing for the song we used had the lyrics "I remember yesterday!" (and that's all I recall of it) and we actually froze in place as a group for 2-3 seconds, such as bent over with one knee up, as we moved across the dance floor turning at right angles.
Hmm, seems more productive than what I spent my senior year doing -- cutting as much as possible even though I had nothing better to do than sit around at coffee shops or get high. Still got good grades, went to a good college, survived. Toughest part of high school is surviving the pointless boredom. It's so simplified for the lowest common denominator I honestly didn't even know that studying was something you did. You showed up to class, hopefully not too baked, took turns copying homework assignments, and got your A. Aside from a couple of AP/honors classes where I actually learned something, it was just a waste of time you just had to survive the tedium.
Got to love it when people are actually complaining when kids are doing something that they find fun which doesn't harm anyone or anything.
