As an employee you represent the company you are working for and should do nothing that would have a negative effect on that company. Just common sense if you expect to keep your job.
if it's an opinion then, positive and negative are subjective. What if I'm a customer at the place and I support them playing the song? If you want to say no opinions at all then cool. But if you're going to say people should be fired for one opinion but not another opinion then that's not fair.
That seems backwards to me. People should be given respect until they do something that proves them undeserving of respect. I believe that people are generally not all that wonderful for the most part, but until they prove themselves one way or another I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt.
That depends on how you are defining "respect".
Meeting someone (for wont of a better term) is sort of a work in progress. I approach it with an empty slate. Then things can go up or down. What I try to start with is no assumptions.

Fair Fair???
They are employees and need to do what they get paid for.
If the company pays then to pick their noses and whistle Dixie ....that should be their task.
I think it was wrong for the workers to play disrespectful music like they did. Should they be fired...well, probably. They are not only not doing their jobs, but they're sort going against their responsibilities in the job.
BUT, if I were a policeman -- after all the similar events we've heard about -- I'd start asking why do so many Americans (clearly not the majority) dislike us so much.
I'm guessing the police already know that the criminal element and their sympathizers "dislike" them.
If they show open hostility to the police, then they might just as well spit or contaminate their food order. The company cannot trust these employees.
Also, you are not entitled to free speech in a work environment. A company can establish rules of behavior such as dress codes.
Fire them all. Let them learn at an early age about consequences. Valuable lesson.
You know, Joe, even "idiot fast food millennials" are American citizens with a right to have an opinion about AMerica's law enforcement system. Just as much a right as you.
That's right. The difference is a matter of respect, which these dopes have none of. So I stand by my position. No cop should care in the least what people who act like this think about them. If they want to be taken seriously, they need to act seriously.
