It sounds like he thinks he's a celebrity so he probably should have charged admission and raised the money upfront !
But, now that he's in the hospital, he's got plenty of time to rethink his business model.

My guess is he collects barely enough to pay a month or two worth or rent.

Fast forward 20 years and he'll be on disability for foot problems from whatever employer he can get to hire him.
