Every one is a little different but at some age eating does not have the same flavor and their appetite diminishes. These super elderly really don't eat much so when they do eat they need high fat foods and protein to remain healthy. Bacon, high fat foods, etc. provide this.

My doctors told me that the biggest challenge to remaining healthy as I get older is maintaining my weight. So every day I eat high calorie, high fat foods to do this. This is a complete reversal from when I was 40ish.
I asked a doctor about living a long life and he said, "I have two words for you: Don't Fall!".

Fat is your body's friend; carbs are its enemy. Atkins was onto something.

I went to the dr. the other day. He told me I had a good chance of dying from old age unless something else got me first.
I've been worried every since.

To live a long and healthy life
get some pork and a butcher's knife
Cut the fat into real thin strips
fry it up with the needed flips
Forgot the orange juice? Do not fret
just drink the grease, it's hot but wet.
