wouldn't be the worst idea to randomly shoot a few of our extra ICBMs out there...you know, just in case we hit something with our name on it

The Air Force can't do any better. And it is a NASA mission to locate and catalog all they can.

No need to worry. NASA has formed PDCO ---Planetary Defense Coordination Office. We are protected from asteroids. It's time to focus on shooting Laser guns at space objects from our game consoles.
