Umm, you guys are aware he got his job back, and rightfully so?

Home Depot employee to return to work after controversial firing | KGW.com

Like I said, I'm usually against hero employees trying to save the day by tackling or going Bruce Leroy on some thief in the store. However, if any of you cared enough to read the story, you would realize that the guy did nothing wrong, and in fact acted like any sane person would have acted.

He initially responded to a co-worker crying for help and that there was a domestic incident outside in the parking lot. When he went to investigate, the woman told him her child was taken from her. Guy then called police/9-1-1, and the dispatcher told him to follow to keep track of the child. Then he returned to store after 10 minutes.

Afterwards, it was found that there was no child abduction, the woman just made that up, but at the time he didn't know that of course. When children are involved, who on this planet wouldn't immediately think to try and help the child, automatic instinct should kick in. Every minute that passes when a child is abducted, is another minute that decreases the odds of a happy ending.

Glad that they gave him his job back.
